Fontaines and London. Born in 1745, he worked in London between 1784 and 1792 as a watchmaker and maker of mechanical singing birds and automata. He worked with Jaquet-Droz, Leschot and Frisard in the making of automata and was a highly respected worker. He became manager oft he London branch of Jaquet-Droz.
